Feedback on ClassicSkin

-- PeterThoeny - 25 Jul 2004

Question: How do I edit the header/footer of the Classic skin? Where are the .css files located at?

-- SiluChen - 06 Jul 2005

The classic skin does not use css. Edit twiki/templates/twiki.tmpl to change the header/footer layout. Or better yet, clone the skin and modify to your needs (copy twiki/templates/twiki.tmpl to twiki/templates/twiki/myskin.tmpl, and twiki/templates/view.tmpl to twiki/templates/view.myskin.tmpl). See TWikiSkins for details.

In the user pages for TWiki.org users who registered since june 2006, the "Edit" link at the bottom is broken when viewed with the classic skin. Click my sig for an example of a broken link. I checked a few user pages and 1st June 2006 registrations is where the problem begins. June 2005 registrations are not broken, indicating that something changed on 1st June 2006, rather than the problem being a month issue. This all suggests that it is some interaction between the registration records and the templates that is causing the issue.

I checked my own TWiki install and the abovementioned problem is not present there. Therefore it must be something unique to TWiki.org; perhaps there was a system upgrade?
