Who am I?
I am a community & regional planner by training who started investigating collaborative software about 5 years ago and began working with TWiki in 2002.
At this point (summer, 2005) designing and administering collaborative web sites has grown to occupy about two-thirds of my consulting business. I am very enthusiastic about the potential of wikis (and TWiki in particular) for empowering distributed collaborative teams. While TWiki is my personal favorite, I've not been able to recommend it for as many projects as I'd like because of a few lingering usability issues (lack of
WYSIWYG editor and difficulty of installation and upgrade being the biggies).
What can I do?
My main contribution to the TWiki community has been requesting new features and enhancements that I have no abiity to implement.
I would like to think that I bring the perspective of non-technical user/administrator (relatively speaking) in focusing on usability issues and removing as much geeky jargon from the documentation as possible.
I've contributed a couple of Add-ons (
TopicClassificationAddOn &
MailPageAddOn) and have been focusing on architecture for creating and administering
TWikiApplications.
Of late, I've designed a few test cases to support debugging efforts.
Why do I want to do it?
I've been fairly active on late in testing
DakarRelease and contributing to documentation. Up to now, I've been passing on my changes to people with checkin privileges. It would be for efficient for me to check in my changes directly. After all, a big part of my motivation is to help free up coders' time so they can focus on the real work of getting Dakar out the door.

From a
DakarRelease persepctive, Lynwood has a great deal to offer; especially on the documentation front. His testing has been great, and he has identified problems several times that he knew exactly how to fix - if he had had checkin rights. I wholeheartedly support giving him checkin access,

Agreed. Quick approval of
LynnwoodBrown's checkin privileges would relieve me of being a patch monkey for docs as well as reducing Lynnwood's workload for making said documentation patches.

Likewise. I have always valued Lynnwood's opinions.

I fully support this, Lynnwood brings professionalism to the TWiki.org community.
Sven, can you add Lynnwood?
