I'm planning on doing a proper Windows installer for InternetExplorerSidebars, probably using My Inno Setup Extensions (an OpenSource installer development tool for Windows, including a Pascal based script interpreter).
Another interesting OpenSource installer tool is Nullsoft's NSIS, used by Winamp.
I need to write an installer as part of making TWiki available on Windows laptops (ReadOnlyOfflineWiki but with full searching), and this is a good way to get into this initially. Of course, the same installer technique could then be used as a first step to doing a more 'point and click' TWikiUnixInstaller for Windows.
