this page is a gateway for discusssing possible changes the various twiki TextFormattingRules syntaxes (syntaces?). Please don't say much on this page else it will quickly get very long and unwieldly. Signatures are superfluous.
- TWikiSyntaxDiscussByCharacter - Index of where characters have been proposed for syntax.
- UnderscoreWikiWords - proposed alternate/replacement syntax to using CamelCase for auto-linking of topics. Also NoBumpyCase, WikiWordswithSpaces
- EasierNop - looking for an easier way to
<nop>(the operator which stops processing of %VARIABLES% and WikiWords and other [[text formating rules]])
- ImplicitPreOrBlockquote - how to determine from the structure of the text itself, without unwieldy markup, if xxx piece of content should be indented and quoted or
preformatted? - TWikiMarkupForBlockquotes - as above, but only for
blockquote
- QuoteStringWikiLink - towards a better [[forced external http://link/]]
- BetterLists - bulleted lists
- NumberedHeadersAndLists - discusses numbered headings as well as lists
- ExtendedListSyntax - discusses numbered headings as well as lists, continuing lists.
- AdditionalOrderedListOptions - a simple yet effective one line code upgrade
- BetterItalics - Italics
- SmallerSignatures - ~~~ and ~~~~ to be replaced by short and long signatures on save.
- RfcModifiedTWikiHeadingMarkup — a heading markup with fixed length and the level explicitly included (for example: "---+2") would be helpful for "my" Wikilearn.NmTWikiFoldSingleHeading macros.
- BetterVerbatim - a somewhat radical change in the way Twiki handles HTML markup contained within a page.
- PaddingSyntax - how to allow whitespace without resorting to typing
or<p> </p>
- OtherSyntaxInUse - what do other places, people, programs use for text to web markup?
