The Gimp

The GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software suitable for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

  • On windows, use The Gimp with http://registry.gimp.org/file/FileOpen-1.0.zip?action=download&id=3994 to be able to use the Windows File Save As (File -> Win*) menus. These then allow you to save down to an FTP server or WebDav? server. (For me it crashes horribly trying to save to an FTP location though) -- MartinCleaver
