I just installed the MikebSkin and had to edit it (view.mikeb.skin) to add ".pl" to all the references to the view script to make it work.

This bug also exists on the TWiki/index.html page for the link to the TWiki web from there. If unix perl does not care if the script name has a .pl suffix, could that be done, at least in that place.

In templates and skins that use references to TWiki scripts, they should always have the SCRIPTSUFFIX variable appended to the script reference for cross-platform compatibility.

This is not a TWiki bug, the MikebSkin is an add on and not in the core. Please reopne this bug in case you found a missing suffix variable in the core templates or skins.

Also, it is not possible to add the SCRIPTSUFFIX variable to the twiki/index.html file since this is a static HTML file.

How about separate TWikiVariables for each script, e.g. %VIEWURL% ?
