A new TWiki version is available:
- Production release 01 Sep 2001
- Download from ...
The new version has many exciting new features compared
to the previous production release (01 Dec 2000). The
new TWiki is positioned as: "A flexible, powerful, and
easy-to-use Web-based collaboration platform." Read more

TWiki (TM) is a trademark of Peter Thoeny. TWiki is
developed as Free Software under the GNU/GPL.
NEW FEATURES:
- TWikiPlugins - Easily install program enhancements using external plug-in modules. Developers can create plug-ins in Perl, with the TWiki Plugin API.
- Attachments Under Revision Control - Changes made to files attached to topics are now saved under revision control (RCS).
- TWikiTemplates - A more flexible, modular template system.
- TWikiSkins - Overwrite template headers and footers; page content is unaffected.
- TWikiForms - Use multiple input forms per web; data is rendered as HTML tables. Replaces the TWikiCategoryTable system.
- Manage Topics - Individual topics can be renamed, moved and deleted through the browser. Deleted topics are stored in a common Trash web.
- Change Passwords - Change and reset passwords using forms.
- TOC (Table of Contents) - %TOC% variable generates a hierarchical table of contents from topic headings <h1>...<h6>.
- Arbitrary Text for WikiWord Links - Text formatting rules to generate automatic links from any combination of words and spaces.
- XHTML - Templates and HTML page rendering in XHTML 1.0 as far as possible without breaking HTML 3.2 compliance.
- Hierarchical Navigation based on topic parents - used to link topics hierarchically.
- Plus many more changes and fixes.

TWIKI SUPPORT
For software support, the TWiki.Support web is available
for people who have a technical questions or questions
about TWiki deployment. This support forum is for TWiki
users by TWiki users. The core development team keeps
an eye on postings, but doesn't necessarily answer
questions. In practice, contributors and users are active

TWIKI USERS
TWiki is steadily growing in popularity, with multiple
downloads daily. TWiki is mainly used behind corporate
firewalls. Users include many major companies, like 3Com,
AMD, Alcatel, Amazon.com, AT&T,...through Xerox.
Word of mouth is a good way of spreading the TWiki
word - all support is appreciated! More exposure means
more contributions, and a better system!
