Question

I've installed AmbarSkin and the skin works wonderfully, EXCEPT:

  • I cannot get WebMenu to work - whatever I put in the WebMenu topic, whatever syntax, is put literally in the side menu, as if I pre-pended a <nop>. Suggestions?

Thanks

Answer

Try installing TigerSkinPlugin or HobbesSkin; WebMenu is filled out by these two. I hope that ConsolidateFunctionalityFromSkins will be endorsed by the CoreTeam, in the meantime you will have to work around problems caused by this.

No need to install TigerSkin - I figured it out. AmbarSkin makes absolutely NO assumptions regarding anything put into WebMenu. i.e., there is no javascript magic and thus NO dependencies on browser type -- which, BTW, I like. Under AmbarSkin the items are simple WikiNames organized in a list.
