I'm following documentation in
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/TWikiUserAuthentication#TWiki_Username_vs_Login_Username
and I've enabled (checked the box in configure) {AllowLoginName}
but nowhere can I find which file I need to edit to specify which login name maps to which TWiki username.
It doesn't appear to be
TWikiUsers, as I've specified
loginname - username
there and it gets ignored. (I'm shown as loginname.)
Where do I enter the desired name pairs to be able to have my login name different from (and hidden from) my username?

Discussion and Answer
Make sure you have a proper bullet as follows in your TWikiUsers topic:

What
{UserMappingManager}
do you use? The
TWikiUsers topic is used if
TWiki::Users::TWikiUserMapping
is specified. Other user mapping managers have different means.

Hi, Peter -- it's
TWiki::Users::TWikiUserMapping
Verified by looking in /opt/twiki/lib/LocalSite.cfg
where it shows up as
$TWiki::cfg{UserMappingManager} = 'TWiki::Users::TWikiUserMapping';
In
TWikiUsers, I've tried both
and
and in both cases, when I get logged in, I show up as
mitchk@DOM, mitchk_DOM, or mitchkDOM, depending on where in the TWiki I go.
Now, in case in matters, I'm also in
TWikiAdminGroup like this:
if that makes any difference. But otherwise, I'm totally confused about why this isn't working.

Oooops, forgot this isn't raw text. Sorry sbout that.

I have never used a login name with @-sign. Could be that TWiki's user mapper does not support that? You could debug and find out.

Where would I look to see that?

Do
TWikiDebugging in
twiki/lib/TWiki/Users/TWikiUserMapping.pm

Will do -- I'll poke around and keep you posted. Thanks.
