One of the things I'd like to have is a computer based (audio) juke box that can copy CDs (and LPs) to a hard drive and then play them (partly to replace the CD jukebox player that died).

Keywords: CD, audio, jukebox, mp3, wav

Thought I had a page started for this -- can't find it. See ComputerThingsToAccomplish

Recommended

  • (rhk) Giant Disc; ; - almost what I'm looking for except the default configuration uses a Palm Pilot to control the system -- reading to see if there are options.

  • (rhk) Slim Devices SLIMP; ; - looks nice, close to what I want, but includes a piece of propriety hardware (sort of an audio console that works as the front end and the interface to the stereo -- includes a "standard" (universal) remote control) -- US $249 (plus shipping, etc.)
