Notes

Found an rpm for gtkeyboard in Mandrake 9.0 and installed it. So far it works:

  • at the bash prompt in konsole
  • in nedit and vim started from the bash prompt in konsole (the only way I tested them, so far).

Does not work in:

  • Mozilla -- that is, in a text edit window like used for updating TWiki wink or the address bar
  • konqueror -- that is, in a text edit window like used for updating TWiki wink or the address bar
  • kmail (specifically composer)
