Slackware is one of the early Linux distributions that many hackers favor. Vector (CFK) is based on Slackware, thus packages for Slackware might work on Vector.

Recommended for Specific Needs

  • (rhk) Get Slack; ; - mirrors for downloading Slack

  • (rhk) Package Browser; ; - web tool to browse packages for Slack by category -- not real useful AFAICT -- it's hard for me to know what packages are in what category -- more useful (if you know the package name or some part of it) is to do a Google search on [site:www.slackware.com <package_name]

Note: ap1/raidtool.tgz might be the package for the raidtools, not sure how to download it by itself -- only place I found it listed in anyway was on a changelog
