ssh (Secure SHell) is a secure replacement for telnet (among other things??)

See also Codev.SshToSourceForge

See AboutThesePages.

Some sample commands for me:

Login to sourceforge:

ssh -l rhkramer wikilearn.sourceforge.net

ssh -l rhkramer users.sourceforge.net (??)

Get a file from sourceforge (logout first, or do this from a different "session"):

scp rhkramer@wikilearnPLEASENOSPAM.sourceforge.net:/home/groups/w/wi/wikilearn/data/Wikidat.tar.gz Wikidat.tar.gz

Send a file to sourceforge

scp Wikidat.tar.gz rhkramer@wikilearnPLEASENOSPAM.sourceforge.net:/home/groups/w/wi/wikilearn/data/Wikidat.tar.gz
