Table Settings
Note that the "most" global setting of the table preferences is in Plugins.TablePlugin (or TWiki.TablePlugin??). It's not clear to me which, and I'm not sure this "extra" location for settings (beyond TWiki.TWikiPreferences and <Webname>.TWikiPreferences) is well documented, although it has been quite a while since I read the TWiki documentation.
- One line description, shown in the TextFormattingRules topic:
- Set SHORTDESCRIPTION = Control attributes of tables and sorting of table columns
- Set DEBUG to 1 to get debug messages in
data/debug.txt
. Default: 0
- Make sortable:
- #Set SORT = attachments
- Set SORT = all
- #Set SORT = none
- Default table attributes:
- Default table attributes:
- #original: Set TABLEATTRIBUTES = tableborder="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" headerbg="#99CCCC" databg="#FFFFCC, #FFFFFF"
- #Main.PeterThoeny's change of April, 2003: Set TABLEATTRIBUTES = tableborder="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="2" valign="top" headerbg="#0c2577" headercolor="#FFFF99" databg="#DDDDDD,#F8F8F8"
- Set TABLEATTRIBUTES = tableborder="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" valign="top" headerbg="#6699CC" headercolor="#0c2577" databg="#DDDDDD,#F8F8F8"
Notes
- A preference is defined as:
6 spaces * Set NAME = value
Example:
- Preferences are used as TWikiVariables by enclosing the name in percent signs. Example:
- When you write variable
%WEBBGCOLOR%
, it gets expanded to skyblue
.
- The sequential order of the preference settings is significant. Define preferences that use other preferences first, i.e. set
WEBCOPYRIGHT
before WIKIWEBMASTER
since %WEBCOPYRIGHT%
uses the %WIKIWEBMASTER%
variable.
- You can introduce new preferences variables and use them in your topics and templates. There is no need to change the TWiki engine (Perl scripts).
