thanks peterthoeny peterthoeny: yw noisecontrol1: sorry for the name error -
I haven't used freenode in a bit
peterthoeny, I haven't actually used a twiki implementation much before - it is slightly different from what I am used to with the sub webs and things
I am interested to know how to change the overall site appearance - theme? Like the color. Almost all my sites are green peterthoeny: that depends on teh skin you use
the default skin is PatternSkin
it has extensive docs on customizing css
gotta leave now

jcuotpc__ has joined #twiki peterthoeny: noisecontrol1: that depends on the login manager
if you use template login you have a logout in the sidebar
if you use apache login there is no logout because the protocol does not support it
jcuotpc__: there is no explicit registration approval, but you can achieve something like that with the following:
1. allow anyone to register
2. create a ContributorGroup (or any other name you like)
3. lock down all webs for edit to that group
4. an admin is monitoring new registration emails and adds people to the group, and removes bogus accounts
on twiki.org we have a big TWikiCommunityGroup with over 1400 users
4 webs are locked down for edit to that group noisecontrol1: petertheony I set up an email server last night
I'm not sure if that fixes the problem with creating accounts
I've also made a ton of modifications to the main page of the website - including a mibbit IRC interface and a twitter live feed for my radio stream
its going to take some time getting used to twiki ***: sreher has joined #twiki
sreher has quit IRC () peterthoeny: noisecontrol1: you probably don;t need to install a mail server
on most linux systems you can use the perl Net::SMPT (twiki default) and configure localhost as the mail server
yes, it takes time to get used to twiki as an admin
there is so much to learn, and you can do a lot of powerful things
consider learning the twikiforms and formattedsearch queries
the support forum on twiki.org is a sample app done with twiki forms and queries ***: jcuotpc__ has left
