Hi, i'm trying TWiki for our intranet and its cool, the only thing i dont like is user managment, i don't want a page to be created every time a new user registers, moreover i would like to "moderate" registrations and use all lowercase usernames, is this possible? ... Bugger, I wanted to ask a question! frenzy: You *might* want what I'm looking at right now: http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/TWikiLdapRegistration As for pages per user, I'm not too sure. CMOT-Weasel: thanks, yes, thats what i need, thanks. Regarding pages i like them but i dont want twiki to automatically create a page for each user, it should be optional, i want to keep the wiki clean Aye, I see what you're getting at I'm just not too sure how to do that! One problem is that peterthoeny is the best person to ask.. since he's the developer... but since he's based in the US I'd imagine he's just gone to bed >.< yeah :) i will try again this evening (CET) thanks anyway, i will start from your page No worries. I'm still waging war with LDAP Evil contraption! this page seems also useful http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/SimplifiedUserMappingCodeInterface Ooh, that *might* just about do what I want! I mean.. I'll need a shit-ton of bash/perl scripts to tinker with the current wiki to make it work, but it should sort the LDAP problems :D why not just using apache out as written in that doc and then use ldap backend for apache auth? for frenzy: http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/GetRidOfTWikiUsersPage
