can I configure TWiki in root of virtualhost? without /twiki I execute /twiki/bin/configure through browser but it shows forbidden I set password in .htpasswd :S when I open http://wiki.milk-it.net/twiki/bin/view it shows the source code :S the documentation doesn't say nothing about requirements I added authn_file and cgid to load in apache2 when I access http://wiki.milk-it.net/twiki/bin/configure I get forbidden :( http://pastebin.com/bhV5pdJp my /bin section it was configure with http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki.ApacheConfigGenerator mfilipe: you need to declare /var/www/wiki.milk-it.net/bin as a cgi directory it looks like you do comment out the section until your site is configured properly God exists thanks a lot! your welcome PeterThoeny, sorry for delay my bin is a cgi directory http://pastebin.com/q07SpQwE did you restart apache? yes I commented the Deny from all and get this: "[Thu May 19 17:51:01 2011] [crit] [client 187.114.1.22] configuration error: couldn't check user. No user file?: /twiki/bin/configure" that is an indication that the configure script still has Require user mfilipe comment out .... is mod_perl necessary for twiki? not needed unless you have thousands of users can you run configreu now? yes I executed http://wiki.milk-it.net but I get error 404 using http://wiki.milk-it.net/twiki/bin/view it works I did anything wrong for the root doesn't redirect to /twiki/bin/view? PeterThoeny, do you know? sorry, was on the phone oh, phoen again... congrats your twiki looks good now suggestion: you can change the ScriptAlias to have a shorter url i usually use /do to get /do/view/... on your 404, it means that the document root is not defined in apache or that your index.html is missing you can add a short html page that redirects to your twiki home mfilipe: let me know if this works gotta go for a while...
