When I was initially researching which wiki I wanted to use in 2008, I decided on twiki because of its use of simple text files with rcs and perl. I believe in the power of elementary solutions like that. I like being able to view and edit all the underlying system files. | [00:17] |

mackr | There was/is an open source backups program called amanda. I liked it for the same reason, simple text files comprising the system, so recovery was possible if the server bit the dust. You could still get your data back. | [00:26] |
