Bad header=TWiki Administrator <>... User: register, referer: http://x.x.x.x/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration [15:41] this is from the apache error log [15:42] if I do anything wrong on the registration form I get a normal twiki generated error explaining the problem [15:42] but if I fill int he form properly I get an internal server error in the browser and the above in my error log [15:42] not sure what I am going wrong here [15:43] I installed using the latest freebsd ports. although it appears freebsd is only currently supporting 4.2. I ran portsnap only a few hours ago and this is the latest version. should I try compiling my own version from source? [15:52] it seems the registration might have worked dispite the error [15:53] twiki at least thinks I am logged in and is greeting me by name at most pages. still digging around the twiki permissions and other settings though [15:53] trying to figure out how to setup permissions for other users [16:03] looks like I overlooked some things in the configure script. [16:11] I think I have it now. just found where the twiki logs are [16:11] thanks [17:49] Good Day. N00b here, If I create links between topics that have the IP in the URL (still testing) if I change the IP/hostname of the Twiki...those links become invalid? [17:51] Can one have symbolic links? [17:57] Or i might mean relative links [17:57] either way, is anyone here? [19:07] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o PeterThoeny [19:32] hi! I'm trying to install the latest TWiki version on a RHEL6 host. But I can't get past the step of setting an init admin password: configure says "Password changed", but the page keeps displaying an "uninitialized value" error. [19:34] deesto: not sure [19:34] are files and dirs owned by the apache (nobody?) user? [19:35] also, 'view' keeps complaining about {RCS}{WorkAreaDir} but I've set this in LocalSite.cfg, so I must be missing something [19:36] yes; let me do a recursive chown just to be sure [19:40] no, same result [19:42] I have an older site that I've copied to the same host and I can get that running without issue, so it must be a configuration change, permission, etc. in the new version of which I'm not aware [19:47] the 'view' error is uninitialization of a join of columns in CGI::td from UI.pm, if that rings any bells? [19:59] is this a new install? e.g. no data or code mixed from an older twiki? [20:00] that was indeed part of the problem: I tried to carry over config values from the old site -- not any content, but just somem config lines -- and I guess they're not compatible with the new version [20:01] a completely vanilla new instance seems to work fine, so I'll try to backport the configuration and go from there. thanks! [20:01] no, remove the localsite.cfg and run configure [20:02] after you have twiki running you can compare the old and new config files [20:02] do a sort on eacj before diff [20:02] right: I had do remove both LocalLib and LocalSite [20:03] for apache config file you can use http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/ApacheConfigGenerator [20:03] yup thanks, apache 's no problem [21:18] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o PeterThoeny [21:37] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o PeterThoeny [23:28] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o PeterThoeny
