Required Environment for TWiki

Low requirements on client-side and server-side environment is key to keep TWiki deployment as broad as possible. This is part of the TWikiMission.

Have a look at Slashcode's system requirements - the interesting thing is that they are much more specific about the recommended Perl version. IMO this is a good thing, as there are sometimes Perl version related bugs which could be fixed by upgrading.

Added line about cron above. Can we try to modularise this so that this table occurs only once rather than in both webs?

See my comment about modularisation above I would like to propose deleting the table on this page altogether and just pointing to TWiki.TWikiSystemRequirements... Any objections?

I think that's a great idea. This topic still seems very useful for discussion that doesn't belong in an official release.
