Some TWikis that we can actually look at:
I wasn't about to copy every single one. Be nice if we could persuade google to give us a list of the URLs alone.
Since
googling TWikiUsers
in the URL seems to be the best way to search, both because the topic can't be hidden from view (I think) and the odds of it being the same on more than one site are slim, here are some results from the reported English hits. (I've skipped some TLDs that have a tiny number of sites.)
The google search on the topic TWikiUsers omits
edit,
rdiff,
raw,
oops,
skin,
rev, since those are variations of the same topic.

Of course, this only shows sites that are visible to search engines, undoubtedly omitting virtually all corporate sites.

Discussion
I found
quite a few more incidences when I
Googled "ATasteOfTWiki"
, like 500,000+! At first it stops at 4 pages because, after all, it's finding the same page each time. But if you ask for the full results, you see they are (mostly) all unique sites (with the obvious exception of the first 4 which are on TWiki.org). Thanks for prompting me to do this search, Meredith - it's interesting to see all fields TWiki's being used in!

Which made me think:
allintitle:!TWikiUsers is probably a better choice, since presumably none of them will be the same.

Sigh. I was really hoping to find a lot more non-corporate use, as my interests lie mostly in the educational field. But the responses of the teachers on the project I'm doing for Harvard are quite promising, with more interest in doing more than just simple text editing than might be expected. So we shall see.
fingers crossed

Instead of listing the sites here it might be better to run a report in the
TWikiInstallation directory, and feed more data into the directory.

I think I suggested that somewhere or other, but that involves someone writing a script and it being run on the twiki.org machine, neither of which I can do. So go for it, Peter.

I'm afraid no script will help fill the really interesting pieces (i.e. Country, Installed by, Customized, Type of Use and Used by/for). - So some handywork needs to be done under all circumstances.

So go for it, Steffen!
- Thanks! - Now that's a motivational spirit I'd like to see a lot more of

I'd like to see more sites listed on the
TWikiInstallation directory. The main motivation is not so much PR, but to find out how different groups are using TWiki for diverse things.

Yes, it would be best if they went into the
TWikiInstallation directory. I probably would've done that if I had been aware of it at when I did the searches. As SP notes, the hard part (other than figuring out how to get just a list of URLs) is to fill out as many of the rest of the fields as possible.
Look carefully at my search string, btw, which eliminates the literally thousands of duplicates. (The number of duplicates suggests that we need to give a sample
robot.txt file to help prevent them.)
The form also needs (at least) a third category, so that sites that appear to be gone can be marked as
SiteNeedInvestigating or some such. When I was going through the table to make sure it was accurate, I would've marked many of the sites that seemed to be gone as that rather than
SiteObsolete. That assumes, of course, that someone will spend the time to trrack down the new location, if any, but it's better than marking them obsolete unless it's obvious that they are, and it would remedy the problem of dead links in the table. (It would also help avoid marking a site obsolete when, in fact, it's just moved, as I did a couple of times.)
