It would be nice to provide a toolbar on top of the edit window. Users can simply click a right icon to insert the right formatting tags. KupuEditorAddOn provides this sort of functionality to TWiki. -- MartinCleaver - 13 Oct 2004 Martin is refering to HTML editors with toolbars. Mediawiki is a JavaScript text editor with toolbar. TWiki has a similar JavascriptBasedEditor. However, there are some design issues because it is packaged as a skin (named
iejs). It needs to be repackaged as a true Plugin, see related discussion in EasyEditorRevisited.
