This plugin allows a simple Ladder league to be handled and has the following
features:
- Players can play anyone they like.
- To move up the ladder they must play players 1 or two positions above them in the ladder. This distance is configurable.
- Games are entered using a simple web form, and the results placed onto a page for all to see.
- The results page maintains the ladder based on the results page, and is dynamic, and always in-sync with games played.
I'm in the process of packaging this up.
Motivation: A user at work wanted to move our
FoosBall League onto TWiki.
I'll be uploading this code shortly

Use Cases.
- FoosBall Ladder League
- Puzzle Bobble Ladder League
- Table Tennis Ladder League
- Tiddly Winks Ladder League
- < Any Game > Ladder League
Great idea - we had a table football league using a CGI script for some time, but doing this in TWiki would make it much easier to do this without having server access. And of course get people into using TWiki! I've noticed that the killer apps for
NewsGroups at work were the humour and wibble newsgroups - fun apps could really help people get into using TWiki, in the same way that playing computer games taught many people about keyboards and mice.
Language note:
table football
in British English == 'foosball' in American English or 'baby foot' in France

Life became extremely busy (new fatherhood will do that to you!), and I haven't had a chance to upload it! Thanks for the reminder, I'll try and get the code up shortly (hopefully before the weekend :-).
