Question

One of the things I like about CommentPlugin is that it allows me to add content to an existing page.

One of the things I dislike about CommentPlugin is that I have to create the comment template in a global location. If my format is narrow in scope, I hate cluttering up a company-wide User Templates file.

I can use a (local) HTNL form to accept values, then merge the data with a "local" template topic to make a new page. But then I'm making one page per entry. I don't want to keep adding to the (already enormous) file bulk of our TWiki either!

I want to have a "local" (not global) data entry form that allows me to append entered information to an existing page. The results of CommentPlugin without the need to "share" my data entry form with everyone in the company.

Is this possible? Or am I dreaming an enhancement request?

Hi Vicki. Do you mean you would like to define a comment form in a local topic?

Because I just happened to be working on that. Please check out if the latest CommentPlugin fits your needs.

Closing this question, it looks like the new templatetopic="Web.TopicName" fits the needs of local defined templates.
