Question

I'm trying to install TWiki 4.1.1 on a hosted webserver package. Previously I had TWiki Dakar release on this server which worked fine.

When I access the configure script from my browser it displays, but under the settings heading it only shows one section: environment variables. It fails to show any of the other config sections, nor does it show the next button so I can't even set a password.

So I can't set up TWiki. Because this is a hosted service I don't have access to the apache error log, but the configure script is running.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x01x01
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Unknown Linux
Web server: Apache 1.3.36
Perl version: 5.6.1 patched
Client OS: Linux Ubuntu Edgy
Web Browser: Firefox 2
Categories: Installation

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Probably a Perl 5.6.1 problem. Wait for TWiki 4.1.2 which will support perl 5.6.1 better.

I am still testing it and expect to release soon.

Many thanks. I'll go back to my Dakar backup until then.
