Question

I'm trying to get the DiscussionForum running on my site. I can create new articles, and those articles get saved as a new DiscussionForumArticle. However, the DiscussionForumOverview page, nor the DiscussionForumArchiv page will display the articles.

I'm suspecting that it might have something to do with the non-English words used in the searches.

So...

a.) Could the author of the DiscussionForum stuff get someone to rewrite the pages using English terms. and..

b.) Does anyone already have this up and running at an English site so that I could maybe take a look. or...

c.) Does the non-English words in the pages have nothing to do with anything, and I'm just being dense. :^ )

I think you are referring to Sandbox.DiscussionForum, which seems like a fairly simple hack to get WebLog style discussions into TWiki - actually very basic, note that it was created in Sandbox. You should really email AndreUlrich with any questions, as this is not a standard part of TWiki, nor a plugin/addon. Also, have a look at Plugins for the CommentPlugin required by this page.

Discussion

"fairly simple" is a relative term for Yours Truly who just started messing with this stuff last weekend. ;^ ) I just started reading O'Reilly's "Mastering Regular Expressions" yesterday to hopefully try to get a better handle on some of this stuff.

I did get the CommentPlugin installed, and that seems to be working OK. The problem is just that the the DiscussionForumOverview page, nor the DiscussionForumArchiv page will display the articles (even though the article DO exist).

Good idea to email AndreUlrich . Guess I should have done that in the first place.

Update: OK, I got it working now. I had goofed up a link on the DiscussionForumTemplate page. I'm still kinda puzzled about the whole "KATAGORIESTEAM" thing. Oh well. It's working quite nicely now though.

I thought I should point out that this is now available as Plugin, at DiscussionForumAddOn in case anyone else comes to thiis discussion the way I did - by way of a search for "Weblog" functionality in TWiki.
