Question

I tried to install Twiki-4.2.0 on a Solaris10 machine. the root directory is /twiki-4.2.0

After the installation, I can access the test page at http://xxx/twiki/bin/configure; at the first time I was prompted to set pathes.

I didn't made any modification for any path, just saved it directly.

but after that, when I went to the configure page again, a error message comes out:

Argument "4.2.0" isn't numeric in numeric lt (<) at /twiki-4.2.0/lib/TWiki/Configure/Checker.pm line 304.

any clues for it?

Have you followed the SolarisInstallCookbook ?

I think you will see this if TWiki cannot find rcs.
