Question

Hi,

Just installed 4.2.0, trying to upgrade WYSIWYG. When I press "Find More Extensions" I see that my machine is trying to reach twiki.org:80, the problem is that I'm behind a proxy so I've configured: root:/home/www/twiki/data/TWiki# grep PROXY TWikiPreferences.txt

  • Set PROXYHOST = "proxy.com"
  • Set PROXYPORT = 8080

But it still tries to go directly which is not possible.

Ideas? =)

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x02x00
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Ubuntu 7.10
Web server: apacke2
Perl version:
Client OS: w2k
Web Browser:
Categories: Installation

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

You probably need to set PROXYHOST and PROXYPORT in configure. The use of TWiki preferences for security-sensitive settings is deprecated, and while it should still work, there may be some reason it doesn't in your environment.

Seems to be resolved, closing question...
