Question
Hi,
I'd like to have a link (which points to page 2) on one page (page 1) but when this page is created the link point to a page which doesn't already exist (page 2 hasn't been created yet). And i would like this link not to be special (like with the question mark just after to create the page). And i would like that after the page2 had been created, that the link on page one point correctly and be presented as a normal link...
Is that clear ?

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
The appearance of a link to a page which does not exist (yet) can be configured in the upcoming TWiki release (preference variable
%NEWLINKFORMAT%).
But I am not sure whether you really need this, if I correctly understand your second wish, because this is how TWiki already behaves today. As soon as page2 has been created, the link from page1 to page 2 will be displayed as a "normal" link. Just re-visit page1 and check.
TWiki checks, on every view, whether the link targets within the TWiki exist, and changes the display accordingly.

Ok, not sure i understand what you mean, sorry...
I know that after the page has been created the link will look the normal way. My concern is before that, i don't want the link to look with a ? after but just like a normal text. But the solution to my problem is configurable in the next release, right ?

Plus i can't find any documentation about the
%NEWLINKFORMAT% variable... how does it work ?
--Oki, i found out :
put the line
- Set NEWLINKFORMAT = $text
in the webpreferences or directly in the topic, then the link will appear as normal text when the page hasn't been created yet...
Thx, but it's not easy to find this on the TWiki's official website, i found it on the web...
