Question

I downloaded TWiki and tried to do registration but on click of submit button an error occurred as shown below.

"TWiki detected an internal error - please check your TWiki logs and webserver logs for more information.

Cannot open c:path,v for write: Invalid argument"

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x05
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Windows XP SP2
Web server: Apache 1.5
Perl version: Perl 5.8.8
Client OS: Windows XP SP2
Web Browser: IE 6
Categories: Registration

c:path,v ?

That sounds wrong. In Windows this would not be a valid path. It is probably the path settings in configure that are wrong.
