Question
I hang out in
TWikiIRC. Someone asked me what version of TWiki
he was running. I grepped the alpha source code and can find no automated way to get a report from a TWiki of what version it's running. He didn't do the install, someone else did for him. Aside from just "knowing" what differences to look for, how can I tell what release someone is running if they don't know?
- TWiki version: unknown, that's the problem.
- Perl version: ?
- Web server & version: Apache 1.3.?
- Server OS: Linux ?
- Web browser & version: Mozilla 1.3a snapshot
- Client OS: Debian Linux

Aha, sorry. There is a WIKIVERSION variable set in TWiki.pm -
not TWIKI... but WIKI... -

The variable is also displayed at the bottom of
TWiki.WebHome and also in
TWiki.TWikiVariables
