SID-00056: EnableModPerl

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.2.0 Perl version: IndigoPerl
Category: Server OS: Windows 2003 Server Last update: 17 years ago

I've installed IndigoPerl and have enabled Mod_Perl, but I don't see any performance boost ! I have installed TWiki before a couple of months and installed Indigoperl just two days back, so the problem here is my htdocs forlder is empty . Is there some code that could set up an alias for htdocs folder to my entire twiki site ? or will it be helpful if I move whole of my Twik root directory into my ../apache/htdocs folder?

Discussion and Answer

I am not familiar with mod_perl on Windows.

On directory structure, if you have a fixed cgi-bin and htdocs tree you basically can move the TWiki directories into to appropriate place:

  • move twiki/bin to your cgi-bin enabled directory
  • move twiki/pub to your htdocs directory
  • keep all other twiki/* in another location, outside cgi-bin and htdocs
  • tell twiki/bin/LocalLib.cfg where your twiki/lib is
  • tell twiki/bin/LocalSite.cfg where your directories are
