SID-00193: Is it possible to have dual-login in Twiki?

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: Perl version:
Category: Server OS: Last update: 16 years ago

I am investigating on the possibility of whether Twiki can be operated in a dual login environment:

1) Via Active Directory (using kerberos) for users logged-in using the Domain username and password. 2) Via Twiki login: for users from a different domain

Please help me on whether is this possible on Twiki or not? Also if you could refer me to a document that discusses how to enable login using Active Directory.

Discussion and Answer

Check LdapContrib plugin. There is an option to do dual login. From http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/LdapContrib#Authentication: There is a further option to fallback to TWiki's normal authentication mechanism by defining a secondary password manager. This allows you to create native TWiki accounts, e.g. a TWikiAdmin account and authenticate him without LDAP. Use the following setting to fallback to a htpasswd based authentication.
