SID-00444: Upgrading ancient system, any solution for WebMenu?

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.3.1 Perl version: 5.8.8
Category: CategorySkin Server OS: Redhat Linux 5.2 Last update: 16 years ago

I'm upgrading an ancient system from 2001-Dec to the latest 4.3.1. The skin we used before is GnuSkin and we had a number of custom WebMenu's built. Those are no longer working in the Patter skin. Is there any solution to using those old WebMenu webs?

Discussion and Answer

That is indeed very old. The GnuSkin is no longer maintained. It looks like the WebMenu variables are handled by the GnuSkinPlugin.

Would there be anyway to include those WebMenu.txt files in the appropriate webs by simply editing the CSS templates? I'm trying not to reinvent the wheel here, but I need to maintain those side menu's somehow.

I am sure it is simple as that, question to find proper place.
