SID-00492: WYSIWYG upload attachment problem

Going via the Manage Attachments icon in the WYSIWYG we get error uploading attachments

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

And in the apache logs

\tTWiki::Func::__ANON__('TWiki=HASH(0x8475d94)', 'WysiwygPlugin', 'upload') 
called at /www_doc/twiki/bin/rest line 174, referer....

Premature end of script headers: rest, referer: https:/.../attach.htm

Anyone had experience with this?
