Good Day,
I have installed TWiki on my Ubuntu Desktop 9.04- the Jaunty Jackalope using the following installation instructions
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/TWikiOnUbuntu
I set my twiki to run from
http://localhost/
I give admin a password and the installation completes without any problems
I then login to Twiki and run the configure script
http://localhost//cgi-bin/twiki/configure
I am now able to configure Twiki where I leave everything vanilla except I change the password to match admin. As admin I am able to run configure and make desired changes.
However,
I log out and shut down, when I log back in as the same user and as admin on Twiki I get a 403 Forbidden error

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/twiki/configure on this server.
Apache/2.2.11 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

I understand that this is a permissions error so when I visit
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/SettingFileAccessRightsLinuxUnix
and attempt to use the instructions to change my permissions I see that my directory structure is different from that specified.
I have /var/www/twiki but it only contains pub/
pub/ contains the following folders.
_default Main Sandbox Trash TWiki _work_areas
1. How should I go about changing the permissions on my twiki so that I can access configure after I log out? My directory structure is different from all those described on the TWiki web site.
2. Should I do a manual install instead of the sudo apt-get approach?
Many thanks and apologies for the long question,
Wesley
