I saw the TWiki Tip for re-parenting a topic.
I'm trying to have the parent for a group of topics be in another web, and it's not working.
We started putting our weekly status pages on our internal TWiki.
After a few months of this, we have found that the name-space is being dominated by the weekly status pages.
This isn't noticeable, except when you re-parent a topic. Then the list of candidate pages gets really long, and is mostly status pages.
We decided to try to fix this by moving all the status pages out of the Main TWiki into their own Status TWiki.
This works, except for the parenting issue. We would like the parent pages for the status to be
UserName, and not
UserName.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Steve

Discussion and Answer
That should have been Main dot UserName and Status dot UserName.

Parent topics are meant to reside in the same web as the topic only. You can achieve logical linking back to the user's homepage in the topic content. You can automate that if you INCLUDE a StatusHeader in each status topic that does the magic to summarize/link content.
