Since we migrated from 4.3.1 to 5.0.2, I've had users (on IE8 - which is actually running in IE7 compatability mode) complain about the text in the "Raw Edit" textarea box being "jumpy". For example, if you are in the middle of a large paragraph, and add a blank line to break it up, your cursor position will be forced down to the bottom of the box. If you paste, you may be lucky if you can figure out where your cursor is, as the text completely shifts. It's very odd and disconcerting. Not completely unusable, but when I'm trying to win users, it sure doesn't help
I don't see this problem with Firefox. Not sure if it could be a javascript-driven problem. I'm happy to try commenting things out to figure it out. Any recommendations for a place to start would be appreciated. Thanks!

Discussion and Answer
This seems to be a common issue:
Can you try if the fix in the second link works for you?

Yes, that seems to do it. It makes the textarea a little less flexible (in FF), but much more usable in IE8.
In
TWikiPreferences, I set "EDITBOXSTYLE = width:700px;min-width:99%;max-width:99%;height:300px;"
As suggested in the grantovich post, this did
not work for me unless I had the
height set as well.
Thanks again!
