Hello,
I read the documentation and tried for a few hours to understand, but I just want to add a drop down to the existing Main Web Top bar called Links.
Under links I would place external and internal links to files and websites.
Now the best I can get is to copy and paste portions of the existing drop downs.
Is there other documentation or guidance I may receive.
Thanks Dennis

Discussion and Answer
Hi Dennis,
every Web has a WebTopMenu topic where the TopMenu is defined. Just have a look at the tml code of one of the WebTopMenu topics at twiki.org like:
Plugins WebTopMenu code
. There you can see the construction (TWiki list with links). A new Dropdown gets a 3 Whitespaces + * + Name and every entry of the Dropdown gets 3 more whitespaces before the * .
This might be easier to understand and edit with knowledge about the raw tml (TWiki meta language), which is nicely documented (see
TextFormattingRules).
Hope that can help you,

Carla,
Your post inspired me to go back and look more. I was overthinking the complexity. The way it sems is A new group dropdown is defined by:
Items under it are:
-
- <a target="_blank" href=http://www.fedex.com/us/>FedEx Tracking </a>
- <a target="_blank" href=http://sfed0100/>FedEx Shipping</a>
- <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc-en_US">UPS</a>
- <a target="_blank" href="http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm?from=home_header&page=trackandconfirm">USPS</a>
I just copied and pasted existing and realize from there it follows editing rules for images and such.
Thanks and kind regards,
Dennis
