SID-01358: /bin/configure shows up as plain text .... [Mac]

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.0 Perl version: 5.12.3
Category: CategoryInstallation Server OS: MacOSX 10.6 Last update: 14 years ago

This question was answered for CentOS [qv], but this is for Mac OS X. My problem seems to be identical to the one discussed under the title given here.

I tried the virtual host solution, and I tried the IP solution. Neither helped.

Discussion and Answer

If configure shows a plain text it means that Apache considers the twiki/bin directory a document directory. It needs to be configured to be cgi-enabled. Specifically, the Apache config file for TWiki needs to have SetHandler cgi-script for your <Directory "/var/www/twiki/bin"> section. See also ApacheConfigGenerator.
