Dear all,

I'm using twiki 5.1.1 but I can't attach file because with any browser I use I have en error message of fakepath.

For example: C:\fakepath\test.txt

moreover I use MACOSX so C:\ is impossible

Discussion and Answer

Likely two unrelated issues:

1. On "fakepath" display, this is to be expected and related to HTML5. See http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/68471/the-image-uploader-shows-fakepath-as-path-when-using-chrome

2. Upload to your TWiki server seems not to work. Things to check:

  • Check the apache error log.
  • Make sure all dirs and files below twiki/pub are owned by the webserver user.
  • What behavior / error message do you get in the browser?

Possibly related to bug item TWikibug:Item6854.

This is now fixed, with patch, see TWikibug:Item6854.
