Hello,
I'm trying to install Twiki on a windows server 2008 SP1. I've installed
ActivePerl v5.12, Apache 2.2.8 and Twiki 4.2. Everything was working ok until I tried to install
LdapContrib. This is the error log I have:
Warning: CPAN is not available, some installer functions have been disabled
### LdapContrib Installer ###
This installer must be run from the root directory of your TWiki
installation.
* You can abort the script at any point and re-run it later
* If you answer 'no' to any questions you can always re-run
the script again later

Fetching the archive for TWiki::Contrib::LdapContrib.
D:/Twiki/LdapContrib.tgz exists on this machine; would you like me to use it?
It was created on Tue May 29 19:26:49 2012.
If not, I will try to download a new one.
Got a local archive from D:/Twiki/LdapContrib.tgz
Error: Installer returned errors:
No data could be read from file at tools/extender.pl line 685
Does anybody know how to resolve it? I tried installing the modules manually and I tried using Perl64 and 32 bits. Any help will be really welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Discussion and Answer
Install the CPAN dependencies separately. See
HowToInstallCpanModules.

I have done that:
install Bundle::CPAN
reload cpan
But still having the same problem.

Make sure you have Unicode::MapUTF8 installed as well.
Run configure to see if you see the LDAP settings in the Extensions section.

Yes, I have the LDAP setting in the Extensions section. But, after config it, this is the error message I have:

Any idea?

DB_File is part of Berkeley DB. Install the
CPAN:DB_File
module.
