SID-01475: Default search engine

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.1 Perl version:

Hello,

I have 2 questions:

1. What is the name of the default search engine in Twiki? 2. Can you add metadata to attached files? 3. Can you use a thesaurus in twiki?

Thanks for your answers!

Chris

Discussion and Answer

1. Built-in search engine is real time grep-based search, e.g. not indexed. There are Extensions:search available; you can also index TWiki content with any search engine such as GSA.

2. Meta data to attached files is the file comment, other meta data is added automatically, such as date and file size. If you want to have additional meta data you could create a TWikiForms based application where you have one page with form per attachment.

3. Not sure what integration you have in mind with thesaurus. I am not aware of any.
