SID-01681: common user profiles for all the webs

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.4 Perl version: 5.10.1
Category: NewUserPlugin Server OS: Cent Os 6 Last update: 12 years ago

Hi,

Right now I have 4 webs "Main" and "Abc", Sandbox and TWiki. Web Abc was created "based On "Main" web so it contains user profiles which were in Main web. is there any way we can use user profiles from Main web only? i.e If there is username(WikiName) written in some topic in "Abc" web should link to Main.UserName automatially? Currently I have to write Main.UserName to link it to users profile in main web else it links it to users profile in Abc web.

Thank you, Sachin

Discussion and Answer

I do not recommend to clone the Main web. Users and groups only function in the Main web.

FYI, the latest TWiki (in trunk) supports -- %USERSIG{SachinWable}% style signatures.
