SID-01758: Commenting API in TWIki

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.4 Perl version:
Category: CommentPlugin Server OS: Last update: 10 years ago

We are setting up a TWiki website, and one of the critical requirements is to have a "threaded-style of commenting", similar to as in Facebook - where users would post comments, and replies to these comments appear indented inside. This way, all comments that replies to a specific comment are clubbed together.

We experimented with a couple of options, including the TWiki Comment Plugin, but it seems that this UI for commenting is not supported yet. Any pointers to existing solutions, if any, would be very useful. Many thanks in advance.

Discussion and Answer

Possibly the ThreadedDiscussionPlugin, however this plugin is ancient - not sure it runs on the latest TWiki.

You could try to create a custom TWiki app that does that. Or you could create a new plugin with the functionality you need. You can also hire a TWiki consultant to do that for you.
