So I am new to this. And I'm failing miserably at it.
I went to the
DownloadTwikiVM page and tried to follow the instructions found there.
1. I downloaded and installed VMware Player.
2. This morning I finished downloading the
TwikiVM file, and unzipped it into a single folder.
3. I run VMware Player. The screen comes up with options to create a virtual machine.
4. I click Open VM, and direct it to the VMX file located in
TwikiVM's folder.
The settings screen reads as follows:
Memory - 1gb
Processors - 1
Hard Disk - 20gb
Under the options it says the Guest Operating System is Linux. And the Version is set as
CentOS. It was originally
CentOS 64-bit, but that got an error message.
This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible.
This host does not support Intel VT-x.
And it gives me a link to the VMware site. The site says that the CPU must be 64-bit to do this.
So is the
TwikiVM strictly a 64-bit? Or am I needing to do something else?

Discussion and Answer
That means you can't use this VM on your computer because the CPU does not support 64-bit mode. You can use an older TWiki VM that runs in 32-bit mode,
TWikiRelease05x01x04.
