Question

I've installed the new release. on my site we've been using tables generated by search strings for tracking various forms and sorting topics into catagories. Strings like this

%SEARCH{ "[F]actType.*?value=\"[S]toryElementTenet\"" scope="text" type="regex" nosearch="on"
noheader="on" excludetopic="FactTemplate" format="|$topic | $formfield(OriginatingPlayer) |
$createdate  |$rev |$wikiusername  |$date  |"}%

They worked as recently at the beta of May 2004, but now suddenly the strings don't return any results under the new release. Has there been a change to the search that requires me to change this format? The docs haven't changed at all.

my testenv is here http://wiki.trmfineart.com/bin/testenv.

Answer

Okay, I withdraw the question. After looking at SearchDocumentation, it appears my regex fu was weak. I have a problem with the above expression that for some reason worked in the earlier twiki version (maybe the program got more strict?)

Thanks for your attention and for TWiki.

Actually, I've been wondering about this one too - with Cairo, how do you search for apostrophes ("'s), now the \" syntax won't work anymore? If it's something like you have to use &034; or similar, could it go into the docs?
