Question

I've recently set up TWiki on a RH9 machine in a lab I work at. After I registered myself as a user, when I access the TWiki site from my Windows XP box running IE, for some reason TWiki doesn't recognize my TWikiName (JonathanBarrow). It thinks I'm TWikiGuest?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease01Feb2003
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: RedHat 9.0
Web server: Apache
Perl version:
Client OS: Windows XP
Web Browser: IE4

Answer

Hi Jonathan, welcome to twiki.org.

You need to do something which requires authorization, and thereby prompting you to login. The usual way is to [edit] a page. If you don't get asked to login when editing, then you haven't finished setting up, see TWikiUserAuthentication.

Logging out is accomplished by closing the browser.
