Question

Regarding moving topics between webs. My company has several webs. We use a document staging area in one to create and refine topics to be viewed by clients. Each client has a web. But, in the Rename/move page, the To: dropdown list does not give all the webs we have on the server. I am very new at this, and I don't yet have server permisions -- I do have ALLOWWEBCHANGE, etc, just not access to the apache, cgi and whatnot. I'm guessing that the problem in a configuration setting. Apparently, the move options go up only to the current web. How could I, if I had permissions, add other webs to the list? Or how would I tell my boss how to do it?

  • TWiki version: not sure, but probably the latest.
  • Web server: apache
  • Server OS: linux
  • Web browser: Opera 6.0
  • Client OS: Win2k (soon to hange to RH 7.3)

Answer

Check the NOSEARCHALL setting in the WebPreferences of the webs that are not listed. The web does not get listed if set to on.
