Question

Hi,

I just upgraded Ubuntu with the hopes that a newer TWiki would be there. No, still 2004-09-02.

How do I get the 4.02 on this without breaking things?

I got to the point where I have apache2, ssl, digest authentication and using TWiki wih guest account and a separate Web.

I have a little foggy perceptions of paqckages, but I would expect if I uninstall the twiki package, I could just unpack 4.02 to the same locations?

Or better still, is there an Ubuntu repository somewhere?

(I am after the tree explorer plugin that cries for TWiki::Merge)

Grateful for all help

-Harry

Answer

Until the TWiki package has been created downstream, you can upgrade your TWiki following the instructions in TWikiUpgradeGuide.

The debian / ubuntu package maintainer was lost at some point. SvenDowideit is best call if you are interested in further details.

For those who find this page via search, see Codev.TWiki on Ubuntu.
